I love capturing glowing pregnant mamas and their bumps and families. My style is very casual. Maternity photo shoots are best done around the 32-36 weeks mark.
I recommend doing maternity photos around 32-36 weeks into your pregnancy. At this stage your belly will be nicely rounded, but you won't be so close to delivery that you will be uncomfortable or risk having your baby early and not making it to the photo shoot!
Absolutely! Pregnancy photos aren't necessarily just for you. They're for your baby to look back on and know what you looked like with them in your belly. I hope THIS blog post makes a compelling argument.
Again, Absolutely! So long as they are comfortable and willing.
The simple answer is, whatever you're comfortable in! I have a client closet with some beautiful gowns and dresses, mostly in boho, neutral tones and casual vibe. Please message me if you'd like to come and try some on. Otherwise there are lots of pregnancy wear hire shops in Perth that have a range of stunning dresses. I prefer outfits that move in the wind, show off your gorgeous bump and that your can easily move around in. I prefer neutrals and pastels so that the focus is on your faces and not your outfit necessarily.
I'd recommend khaki or neutral coloured chinos, or jeans, paired with a lighter, plain coloured shirt. I like sleeves rolled up. For the beach, shoes aren't necessary. Cotton and linens are great choices.
I exclusively shoot in the hour before sunset outdoors for the best light. For beach photos, typically I'll start in the last half hour before sunset as the sun is much harsher and there's no shade. I explain why I shoot at golden hour HERE.
