- Photography changes how you see things. I notice colors, textures, flowers, trees, people, shapes and light in a way most people never see them. Particularly people! Most people, new mums especially, believe they’re not photogenic. I can honestly say that you ARE beautiful! The way you look when you hold your new baby is magical!
- I’m a professional baby cuddler! If there’s a better job than that, I have yet to know about it! I have been called the baby whisperer more times than I can count, and I’ve been asked to come to many homes at 3am LOL. You could say I’m a bit of a baby enthusiast.
- It’s an amazing creative outlet. I get the chance to put a little bit of who I am and what I love into each photo that I take. No one takes newborn photos the same way I do, and I enjoy creating unique images for my clients. No two images look exactly the same. No two babies pose exactly the same. Your baby as art on your wall is completely unique!
- It's a challenge. Being able to create amazing photos that capture the magic of your newborn baby doesn’t come without hard work, dedication and imagination. I spend a lot of time and money on education, making sure I’m up to date with the latest posing techniques and safety information, finding ways of doing my job better and in the safest possible way. And I LOVE buying new props to use for your newborn sessions. It’s a job that never gets boring. Every baby and every family, and sometimes every dog sibling is different. I compare posing families to putting a jigsaw puzzle together. When we’re working with toddler siblings….now THERE’S a challenge!
- I get to meet new people all the time. I work with people from all walks of life. Getting to know you and your family is the best part of my job. I LIVE for hearing your birth stories, how you met, what you love to do in your spare time. It’s why my questionnaire seems a little nosey, but I really just want to know a little about you as a conversation starter for when you come to my studio!
- The flexibility is great. Being a full time photographer means I get to work my own hours. This doesn’t mean it’s a laid back profession though. I am always aiming to perfect my craft, taking on new challenges and helping my clients achieve the perfect pictures.
